The Great Gildersleeve: Gildy Traces Geneology / Doomsday Picnic / Annual Estate Report Due
The Great Gildersleeve (1941--1957), initially written by Leonard Lewis Levinson, was one of broadcast history's earliest spin-off programs. Built around Throckmorton Philharmonic Gildersleeve, a character who had been a staple on the classic radio situation comedy Fibber McGee and Molly, first introduced on Oct. 3, 1939, ep. #216. The Great Gildersleeve enjoyed its greatest success in the 1940s. Actor Harold Peary played the character during its transition from the parent show into the spin-off and later in a quartet of feature films released at the height of the show's popularity. On Fibber McGee and Molly, Peary's Gildersleeve was a pompous windbag who became a consistent McGee nemesis. "You're a haa-aa-aa-aard man, McGee!" became a Gildersleeve catchphrase. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Wedding Plans!
Details on Miley and Liam's Engagement—Have They Set A Date, Where Did He Propose, and Is She Pregnant!? bit.ly - Subscribe Now! Facebook.com - Like Us! Twitter.com - Follow Us! Ever since it was confirmed that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth got engaged (with a 3.5 carat Neil Lane diamond, may I add) everyone has been buzzing about it, wanting more details about the who, what, when, where, and why. E! News correspondent Ken Baker called into 102.7 KIIS FM in Los Angeles to set the record straight on everything, saying they have NOT set a wedding date. Miley will be putting out a new album before they tie the knot, and considering her album doesn't even have a release date, "this is something that's just a long term plan on the horizon." As far the romantic proposal was concerned, it took place in LA, which is important to point out because rumors swirled that it actually happened in Miley's home state of Tennessee. Ken said that Miley definitely wasn't expecting it, but was so pleasantly surprised that she immediately said YES! And lastly, addressing the biggest rumor of them all, Ken said that Miley is "absolutely not pregnant." So let's talk about this below guys—do you think it's a smart move for these lovebirds to get hitched, or are they too young to already be planning their marriage. Let's chat about all things Miley and Liam below, and remember to subscribe before you leave, but don't leave! Keep clicking ClevverNews for more entertainment scoop all day, everyday.
